At CVCheck, we conduct more than 250,000 verification checks every year for private and government organisations, employers and individuals. Our services include more than 1000 online checks across 190 countries, all available on demand.
Since starting in 2004, our vision at CVCheck has been to make verifying information easy, so that people can exchange their personal or professional information safely and grow trusted relationships in good faith.
As a young and dynamic tech company, we're challenging traditional ways of verifying information by taking the process online. Since launching our information-screening platform in 2006, we’ve continued to develop one of the most technologically advanced services in Australia and New Zealand (and perhaps the world).
What does our App do?
This app provides the ability to easily order background checks on your applicants at the click of a button. We then handle the process of contacting your applicant to gather any information we require to conduct the checks you ordered.
As each of the checks in your order are completed, we instantly push back the results and the status of those results to your Snaphire account.
This app is intended for New Zealand based clients.
Installation of your ATS in the Talent App Store is a prerequisite for using all apps in the Talent App Store.
Installation of the ‘Assessment Hub’ App is a prerequisite for successfully using the CVCheck App.

Before you begin
Before you can start consuming the CVCheck services via this app, you will need to be onboarded to the CVCheck platform. This is automatically initiated by installing our app. Simply follow up with a phone call to our Auckland office 0800 282 432 to finalise and enable your account.
As part of your onboarding, we can help you to set up a range of different packages to suit your screening needs, from one background check, to a range of different packages of multiple checks to suit each applicant role.
Let’s get started
1. Open the CVCheck App and click the 'Install' button.
2. After the App has completed installation, there will be a be a red button saying 'SETUP REQUIRED', which will remain there until we complete configuration to get you up and running.
3. We will notify you when setup has been completed and you are ready to start ordering your checks.
The app and available assessments should then be available in the 'Assessment Hub' for you to configure.

Use with your existing system(s)
Depending on your ATS you will have different configurations on how to set this up.
The following 4 fields must be included in the view that is attached to each CVCheck assessment type.
- Candidate First Name
- Candidate Family Name
- Candidate Email
- Candidate Phone - this can be either home or mobile (mobile preferred)
In SnapHire, the candidate phone number is not part of the default ‘Assessment Hub’ view, so you will need to create a view which includes the phone number and assign that view to each CVCheck assessment type before placing any orders.
We also recommend the following fields be included in the view
- Candidate Resume/CV
- Candidate previous name/alias name
- Cost/Purchase Order #
